Fuck Solar: Post-Humus of Guru

In the wake of Keith Elam's death, known to us as Guru (of Gangstarr), a controversy has brewed around his producer and business partner, Solar (aka John Mosher). Allegations against Mosher suggest that he has signed over a house from Guru into his name, while also forging other paper works and a "farewell" letter. Attention to Solar was first raised by Elam's family, after Solar prevented the family from visiting Elam while he was in the hospital.

Keith Elam's died earlier this month of cancer. As an emcee, his work with DJ Premier as Gangstarr was a staple of 90s hip hop. Having been troubled throughout his life, he struggled with drug abuse, and addiction. He will be missed.
